An increasing percentage of our legal resources are focused on working with clients who are technically innovative, including independent developers working on renewable energy sources. This emerging and complex area of law encompasses a cross section of our practice, including telecommunications and energy law, governmental affairs, regulatory and business law.
Leaders in Resolving Complex Legal Matters in Renewable Energy
In our representation of independent power producers seeking to build wind farms throughout the Great Plains, we have provided legal counsel to several of these projects. With an eye toward the health of the planet, our knowledgeable and forward-thinking lawyers can create solid, long-term planning for the Green industries of tomorrow.
Our niche is to help wind developers gain public support, achieve local regulatory and municipal approval, obtain land rights for turbines, distribution and transportation lines, and handle contracts with local utilities for wire access and more.
We are the second largest law firm in the nation to be 100 percent green — all our energy comes from renewable energy sources.
Experienced Representation for Condominium Associations
It can take two to four years to fill a new condominium development to 75 percent capacity, at which time the developers will turn over condominium management to the condominium association. Until the condominium owners are able to take over the management of the property, long after construction has ended, they may be unaware of latent construction defects. We represent condominium associations and property management companies in disputes against developers and contractors.
